Once you book your session, I try to set up a phone call to discuss and plan your session. I include a personal consultation to discuss locations, what to wear and what your vision for you pictures is so I can plan your perfect session.
During your session, I try to keep things fun and relaxed. Don’t feel pressured to show up and be a perfect model or expect your children to sit and smile….my sessions are as laid back as they come. Sessions vary in time depending on the light we have, how fast we get the shots, and location…so I always tell my clients, be prepared for 45 – 90 minutes of time.
For Portrait Sessions:
These are usually seniors, fashion, or bridals, or maternity…..i LOVE portrait sessions because of the one on one time I get to spend with my client. I love getting to know portrait clients and really getting a feel for their personalities so they are well portrayed in the images. Never feel you have to be “model status” when booking a session with me. I send you lots of helpful tips along with how to relax and not feel pressured during your shoot. I pose for you or show you exactly how and then just let you do your thing…..sometimes the unposed images are the very best.
For Family Sessions:
As a former K5 teacher, I understand children don’t always cooperate and are not going to be perfect angels during the session. You will ses a lot of the session will be your children in their natural state….just being themselves. I do a mixture of posed and natural shots so children don’t get bored or burnt out on saying CHEEEEEEEEEEEESE!
I suggest bringing a snack, favorite toy, or a book for your children so they can take a breather if need be….plus food makes everyone in a better mood!! =)

These are completely unique to you so extra planning will go into styling your session. These also happen to be my most favorite sessions and are complete with full makeup and wardrobe styling. I tell my seniors and models to practice posing and relaxing their facial expressions in the mirror prior to their session. This is important since your session is all about YOU. Your face is the focal point so it’s good to not look tense. Be prepared to have a blast, I love to think out of the box for your session! =)
Once your session is done I will post a few sneak peeks on my facebook fan page so you can see a little of how your session looked. Your full set of proofs takes around 4-5 weeks to edit and upload to your private gallery. Once that is ready I will send you a link to your proofs and you may order any prints or albums. Once you have chosen your prints your order will be mailed to your home within 7-10 days.
